THE SETTING
Set in the heart of Tiverton, The Town Hall can provide a beautiful and elegant setting for your wedding. Designed by Henry Lloyd and opened in 1864, the building retains many of its original features. From tall ceilings to cast iron fireplaces, the Town Hall boasts many characteristics, providing a perfect backdrop to your wedding
Our Rooms
We have a choice of two beautiful rooms here at the Town Hall. Whether it’s for your ceremony and a champagne reception, or a full wedding breakfast, our unique layout and interconnected rooms can provide the perfect layout for your wedding.
THE MAYORALTY ROOM
A popular room for weddings, the Mayoralty room is a grand but warming space, seating up to 40 guests, this room needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.
The Council Chamber
A former county court, the Council Chamber is an opulent airy room boasting a magnificent stained glass window. Seating up to 60 guests, the Council Chamber is a awe-inspiring space for your wedding day.
The Reception
Our Servery at the Town Hall can be used to prepare food and drink to complement your day. We have a large range of cutlery and crockery available to hire. The Servery is adjacent to both the Mayoralty Room and Council Chamber.
If you are holding a larger reception, our other venue, just a short walk away, may just be what you are looking for. The New Hall can be used for a full reception celebration. This venue hosts a fully fitted kitchen and a separate bar area, both within easy reach of the main reception space. The New Hall has a full music and bar licence to enhance your wedding celebrations. This spacious and versatile venue can be tailored to fit most requirements accommodating a maximum of 150 seated guests and up to 300 on the dance floor.
This large space is capable of providing your guests a place to mingle whilst you make your grand entrance.
