A unique and intimate civil wedding

The Town Hall, Tiverton, Devon is available for hire for civil marriage ceremonies. Tiverton Town Hall is a beautiful Grade ll* listed building in the heart of this historic town. It was designed by Henry LLoyd who also designed Exeter St Davids Railway Station. Many of the towns important events are held at the Town Hall including the Mayor Choosing Ceremony.

There are many reasons for couples choosing the Town Hall as their ceremony venue, whether its to be part of the towns history, the grand feel of the Mayoralty Room or the convenient location in the heart of this picturesque town. The Town Hall is the perfect setting for your ceremony, giving you the freedom to choose your own reception location. There is a small servery in which buffet food/champagne toasts can be prepared and served by your own catering team.

The Town Hall is situated in the centre of the town. Vehicle access is limited but there is ample car parking nearby at the Multi-Storey Car Park, Phoenix Lane Tiverton EX16 

There is full disabled access to both of the Town Hall Ceremony Rooms with a lift and toilets.

Mayoralty Room

The Mayoralty Room can accommodate up to 60 guests. It is a grand room with paintings of Tivertons benefactors including Sir John Heathcoat. This is perfect for intimate ceremonies in a grand setting and provides an idllyic backdrop for photographs.

Council Chambers

The Main Council Chamber provides a memorable setting for your special day and can accommodate 60 guests. Perfect for larger occasions, this room is flooded with natural light and boasts a magnificent stained glassed window. Previously the old County Court this room has plenty of space for those wishing to have a larger ceremony in the comfort of this beautiful room.

The Reception

Just a short walk away from the Town Hall is the New Hall at Barrington Street. The New Hall can be used for a full reception celebration and has a full music and bar licence to make your reception a very special occasion. It is a spacious versatile building that can be tailored to fit most requirements and can accommodate up to 150 seats for cabarets and dining.

The New Hall offers a fully fitted kitchen area, completed to high standards and a separate bar area both of which face onto the main reception area. This is a large space, capable of providing your guests a place to mingle whilst you make your grand entrance. There is a modern wooden floor area some 50' x 40' ideal for dances and discos for about 300 people.

Due to the location of the building there is no available parking on site other than to unload or drop off. The nearest parking can be found at the Multi Storey Car Park Phoenix Lane

The above charges include use of the Servery but does not include the use of a second room for refreshments. A second room can be hired for refreshments or the reception at a fee of £100.
