Royal British Legion Tiverton Branch Remembrance Sunday Parade 14th November 2021

This year Tiverton’s Remembrance Sunday Parade will be a little different from previous years.

The parade will assembly on Angel Hill at 10.30am in front of the Memorial Hall for a short service commencing at 10.45am. The last post will be played and a two minute silence and Reveille at 11.00am.

The wreaths will then be laid.

The Town band will play Requiem and the Chaplain will bless the wreaths.

The National Anthem will be played before the parade commences marching at 11.30am.

The parade will march through Fore Street, up into Bampton Street, into Newport Street before turning into St Peter’s Street. They will then arrive at the United Methodist Chapel at 11.45am.

There will be a short service at the chapel before the parade then disperses. This will be the end of the event.

Please be aware that there will be limited room inside the chapel.

Tiverton in Bloom 2021 Garden Competition

Calling all gardening enthusiasts, Tiverton Town Council has launched its Tiverton in Bloom Garden Competition for 2021. This is a free to enter competition and the council welcomes entries

History:

The Garden Competition links into the South West in Bloom competition. Tiverton enters the regional competition and the gardens entered help the overall appearance of the Town and show community involvement. The Judges take the gardens into consideration when comparing Tiverton to other towns in the area.

Tiverton Neighbourhood Plan Announcement

Tiverton Town Council published a Public Notice on 13 April 2021 announcing the start of the eight week Regulation 14 Consultation period for the Tiverton Neighbourhood Plan (TNP). This consultation closes at 17:00 on 11 June 2021.
